The idea for a superior metering solution that could be used in post-production stages came about when Brian Slack at Deluxe reached out to Evergreen Audio's founder Bob Brown, asking how hard it would be to create some tools to display meter data on a different machine than the Pro Tools system. Brian was looking for a single solution to use on several stages, but they were expensive, unstable, and difficult to configure.
After a few prototypes, the Massive Meter and Massive Meter Bridge were born!
Keeping our ears to the ground, we regularly speak to several eminent mixers in the industry, in order to gather feedback about their processes and how our metering solutions can continue to meet their rigorous expectations.
Soon after, the Post Production Metering Suite was born.
Musicians & Engineers
Founded by software engineering veteran Bob Brown
Bob previously worked at Avid where he provided engineering insights and direction for Pro Tools, Sibelius, and Media Composer. While at Xperi, Bob served as architect for post production tools such as MDA Creator Pro Tools AAX plug-in, and MDA Control that enable complex workflows required for mixing immersive audio for feature films.
